Standards

All SEIA advisors meet the highest educational and ethical standards, assuring our clients’ objectives are met within a financial environment of constant change. SEIA has five levels of advisors who all must demonstrate technical competency through accredited studies by achieving industry recognized licensing requirements and experience.

Financial Advisor

All Financial Advisors must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of related financial industry experience
  • Enrollment in a study course for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam or the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) program
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 & 65 licenses (or Series 66 license in lieu of the 63 & 65)

Senior Associate

Senior Associates must meet the following, in addition to the requirements of a Financial Advisor:

  • 4 years of related financial industry experience
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation
  • Life/Health Insurance license

Partner

Senior Associates may further be eligible to become Partners, upon approval of the four Founding Partners.

Senior Partner

Partners are eligible to become Senior Partner upon approval of the four Founding Partners as well as completion of at least one additional competency from the list below:

  • Master’s degree with an emphasis in Financial Planning, Economics or Business
  • Chartered Financial Analyst® designation
  • 10 years of related financial experience

Founding Partner
