A Place Called Home

A Place Called Home is a community center in South Central Los Angeles, where caring staff and volunteers unite to empower underserved youth via educational programs, counseling and mentorship. Here, children and teens from 8 years old to 21 years old receive after-school, weekend and all-day summer programs with homework support as well a variety of arts, athletics, dance and music classes. Additionally, teens are provided college preparation, SAT tutoring, college counseling and scholarships for further the possibilities of attaining their dreams. At A Place Called Home, youth are encouraged to take responsibility for their future and are motivated make meaningful contributions to their community and the world.
