SEIA Founders Announce $1 Million Pledge to the Signature Fund for Giving

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 27 2022– Signature Estate & Investment Advisors (“SEIA”), a full-service wealth management firm headquartered in Southern California, announced a $1 million gift from its founders to the Signature Fund for Giving (SFFG). The pledge comes on the heels of Reverence Capital Partners’ strategic investment in SEIA.

SFFG is the firm’s charitable foundation that helps support local underserved youth who represent tomorrow’s leaders and innovators. Since its inception, SFFG has raised more than $1,241,000 and granted nearly one million dollars, including more than $400,000 to its partner organizations: A Place Called Home, Toberman Neighborhood Center, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and Second Story.

This ongoing philanthropic commitment is one of the many reasons SEIA receives frequent industry recognition and accolades – including being named to the InvestmentNews Best Places to Work for Financial Advisers 2022 and Barron’s Top 100 RIA Firms lists.

“We have a long history of giving at SEIA,” notes Brian Holmes, CEO. “We created the Signature Fund for Giving to pool our resources in support of the community – knowing that we could make a bigger impact collectively than we could individually. This million-dollar pledge from my partners and me reaffirms that commitment. We’re delighted that, as our business has grown, our philanthropic efforts have been able to follow suit. And we look forward to continuing our current partnerships as well as connecting with other organizations to do our small part to make this world a better place.”

SEIA regularly supports charities and organizations that serve local young people. The firm recently supported the Bruin Basketball Youth Basketball Fantasy Experience, hosted by the UCLA men’s basketball team and ProCamps. Earlier this summer SEIA also partnered with A Place Called Home, Herbalife Nutrition, and the L.A. Galaxy for the annual Back to School Event. SEIA donated $15,000 and five volunteers to support A Place Called Home’s efforts to provide backpacks and school supplies to 1,500 children from historic South-Central Los Angeles.

“Education is critical to the outcomes and overall success of our young people,” adds Hayley Wood Bates, Financial Advisor at SEIA. “Partnering with A Place Called Home gives us an opportunity to provide much-needed supplies to young people in our community, helping them start the new school year on the right foot.”

Launched in 2011, SFFG was founded to support local youth in Southern California and has grown to assist other national charities and causes through fundraising, employee volunteer participation, and generating in-kind donations. The Fund’s vetting process is rigorous, ensuring that assets are only allocated in accordance with strict regulatory standards. Driven by the mission of empowering SEIA’s communities, some of the Fund’s recent accomplishments include issuing a $50,000 grant to the Children’s Hospital Orange County, where SFFG will have a 15-year naming right to the renovation of a playroom in the Hospital and will be featured on its Wall of Donors.
